History of Salsa dancing

Who said Salsa was only found on food? Salsa is not only a term regarded to a sauce, it is also related to a very famous type of dancing in the world. For those who do not know rythm, movements, coordination and musicality are the basic features for a good and enjoyable piece of salsa dancing, which are combined with excellent benefits for everyone.

Let's start clamifing that this term was first assigned in New York in the mid 70's by the Fania record label. The origins of this particular dance are from the Cuba Son and Afro-Cuban dance. It is a popular social dance known through the Caribean, America, Europe, Australia, among others. It is usually a partner dance, although it can be sometimes dance alone in some styles.

In order to get a good performance we should  follow some basic steps. According to researches a 150-pound adult can actually burn approximately 150 calories doing 30 minutes of social dancing. To reinforce this idea I can state that in my experiences everytime I dance, I feel like releasing stress and what is better I feel energetic.

Some of the countrieswritten above like the Carribean and America are the anteroom to explain that there are different types of salsa styles like: The Colombian or Cali style, Cuban "Casino" style, and The New York style.All of those styles differ on figures and chereographies but, music is practically the same.

In final consideration, Salsa dancing is a popular social dance reachable for everyone and which, brings many benefits for your health.
